JOHN CHANDELDEERE

Size: 20” diameter X 14” high

Industrial meets elegance in this chandelier, blending antique optics with sculptural design. Its shade is crafted from 1911 Bausch & Lomb eyeglass lenses, discovered new in their original box and arranged on a conical form. Each lens is meticulously soldered into a delicate mesh, transforming a century-old collection of optics into a radiant canopy of glass.

The frame is a vintage John Deere rotary tiller wheel that still retains much of its original paint, paired with a 1930s Hemingray glass insulator. The conical shade takes its form from an antique loudspeaker, giving the chandelier a sculptural silhouette that feels both nostalgic and modern.

The four Edison bulbs illuminated through the lattice of lenses, producing optical distortions as you look through the shade to the opposite side. Overhead, the tiller wheel casts soft spiral shadow across the ceiling.  Both functional lighting and artful statement, this chandelier transforms light into an experience—where vintage craftsmanship, optical wonder, and warm ambiance meet in a single luminous piece.
