rotary

size: 28” H X 28” W

This window-hung glass art piece is a luminous collage of early 20th-century history, crafted entirely from repurposed glass dating between 1910 and 1930. Each element carries its own story. At the heart of the piece, three antique automobile headlights form a rotary centerpiece, their original patent dates still visible. Surrounding them is a ring of vintage green nautical marker glass. The border is a mosaic of historic signal glass, including truck cap markers, railroad signal lenses, Model T tail lights, and instrument indicators. Each piece contributes its own distinctive shape, texture, and hue. When hung in a window, the piece truly comes alive. Sunlight streams through the varied lenses and glass, casting brilliant color and subtle reflections that shift throughout the day.
